Human Resources and Administrative Services Director
Starting Salary
$110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Manage budgets, understand financial forecasts, and work within budget constraints.
- Plan, develop, lead, coordinate, and execute human resources strategy to support the Office’s operational planning and strategic direction.
- Oversee successful processes for talent acquisition, training and development, organizational and performance management, employee engagement and retention, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including reviewing reports and performance metrics from the HRIS and ATS systems.
- Research, review, and modify administrative policies and procedures to maintain best practices and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Office’s management group to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, retention, and training.
- Design, modify, and implement Office-wide training programs.
- Supervise, coach, provide feedback to, and evaluate staff responsible for performing human resources and administrative services responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, management, or related field.
- Five years of experience in HR management.
- Five years of supervisory experience.
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding skills in research, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to the organization’s needs.
- Ability to make quick and independent decisions, solve problems, and work under pressure.
- Strong interest in public service and improving State and local governments.
- Willingness to work in-office daily.
- Must have valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation.
