Crown King Elementary School District

To control costs and operate as efficiently as possible, the District employed mostly part-time, hourly staff and received some business and student and instruction support services from the Yavapai County Educational Services Agency. We did not identify any accounting control deficiencies in the District’s fiscal year 2019 transactions or any wasteful spending. In addition, because of its very small size, the District did not provide food or transportation services for its students. Finally, the District’s remote location and unreliable internet access would make it difficult to transport students to another district or switch to online schooling.
