Department of Environmental Quality - Waste Programs Division

Recent legislation made significant changes to the State Assurance Fund (Fund).  However, the Division needs to take additional action to ensure that underground storage tank owners and operators maintain required financial assurance and to reduce costs to the Fund.  The Division should also improve the timeliness of its hazardous waste enforcement actions.  Finally, the report presents information regarding the status of State Superfund sites.
